Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Tonite Gonzalez-Collins is a Mexican-American sportscaster. She anchors SportsNation and serves as an anchor for SportsCenter anchor. She joined ESPN as a reporter in the year 2016. She is the daughter television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual since the time she turned nine. The ability that allowed her to get her first job as an Univision Production Assistant in Miami. She worked with the producers of national shows such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. Her next assignment was an Sports Reporter for the CBS St. Petersburg Affiliate. In 2009, she relocated away from Texas to Rio Grande Valley where she was a news reporter for KNVO TV 48 Univision. She covered stories about immigration and drug trafficking across both Texas and Mexico. Also, she was a substitute for sports anchors and weather forecasters. Deportes 23 was Univision Dallas affiliate, where she was able to take on more responsibility. She produced pieces about Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS as well as the World Series as well Dallas Cowboys NBA postseason Finals FC Dallas, and Dallas Stars. In addition she was also the host and produced Univision 23's Accion Deportiva Extra local sports show. She worked as anchor for the sports segment of Despierta America Deportes morning show. She also served as an anchor on sports in Primer Impacto, a magazine program that airs on the UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta's parents hail from Veracruz Mexico. They eventually relocated from Veracruz Mexico to Mexico City where she was born on the 22nd of November, 1985. Her older sister is also hers. The family in 1992 left Mexico and relocated to Miami. Within a brief time her father split from her mother. She later remarried in the year 1995 to a naval architect whose name was Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died of kidney cancer in 2006. It was on a time of summer when she was with her sister at Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl had gotten the job. Antonietta was about to graduate from high school but already knew what she was going to be doing. The result was that she enjoyed the university and that the school offered the major she wanted. Her high school graduation was in the spring of 2004 and was enrolled in media studies at the college. Her professor Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM, and was student in her class, formed a lasting relationship with her. Professor Bergmann was a great influence on her by his love of journalism. He also deeply impacted her.
